MOL offers PKN merger of equals in cash-stock deal

Hungary-based MOL Rt. has made an offer to merge with PKN Orlen of Poland in a deal valued at approximately $1.5 billion (1.64 billion euros). The deal would be a merger of equals.

Solutia agrees to acquire Vianova for $640 million
