TD-CT debuts integration campaign

Article Abstract:

TD Canada Trust, created from the union of Canada Trust (CT) and Toronto Dominion Bank, has unveiled its initial marketing campaign aimed at keeping former CT customers within its folds. The campaign, created for the bank by Response Innovations of Toronto, Ontario, began with a 100,000-piece direct mailing initiative in Feb 2001. The campaign, expected to proceed until the 1st week of Aug 2001, highlights the positive effects to the bank's services that are the direct result of integration.

Major corporations with operations in Canada have created the position of global media director to coordinate local media plans with those of the corporate head office. Global media directors are the result of the "think global, act local" philosophy regarding media planning. Among the major corporations that have appointed global media directors are Compaq, Colgate-Palmolive, Kellogg and Kimberly-Clark.
