Market misfire

Article Abstract:

Asian countries have been forced to abandon costly weapons purchasing programmes as a result of the region's economic difficulties. Almost all military modernization programmes have been postponed, and it is likely that very few purchases will be made. Experts believe that the region's armies do not really face any immediate military danger, and this has been reflected in the speed and ease with which military procurement programmes have been put aside. This situation is creating serious difficulties for weapons manufacturers.
