Marketing through Time

Article Abstract:

Time Canada and MC Direct have joined a business-to-business "sponsored subscription program" by early Sep 2000. Advertisers who participate in the program may offer their clients in databases a free subscription to Time's Canadian edition for three, six or one year. MC Direct's managing director Susan Carr said the program is a unique direct market technique because it is aimed at advertisers with medium- to small-size budgets.

Echo Awards

At the 75th annual DMA International Echo Awards, eighty -four winners were given awards in recognition of excellence in direct marketing globally. The four best campaigns according to Bryan Tenenhouse, a senior vice-president and creative director at Toronto-based Arnold Brand Response, which include Jaguar Cars North America, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Diageo and Terra Network Mexico, are overviewed.

Vancouver shops merge

Article Abstract:

Direct Results Marketing and Saatchi and Saatchi Company PLC's operations in Vancouver, British Columbia, have been merged. The combined companies, which will have annual revenues of over C$21 million, will do business under the Taylor Tarpay name. The new direct marketing unit, which will have 15 employees, is expected to complement the recent establishment of Saatchi and Saatchi Interactive.
