Markets lurch but regain footing

Article Abstract:

European and American security markets went into a spin immeadiately after the London, England terrorist bombings of the Tube. European stocks fell, United States futures tumbled, the price of gold increased, the Pound and the United States Dollar decreased. The London Stock Exchange and London Financial Futures and Options Exchange remained uninterrupted by the terrorist attacks.

The United States Dollar has been fluctuating in value since the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina. The current recovery of the United States currency is expected to be short lived. Speculation exists over whether the United States Federal Reserve Board will retreat from interest rate increases.
