Article Abstract:

John Prescott's Pathfinder housing regeneration project in the north of England faced severe criticism from the media June 2005, though many of the schemes had barely begun. Demolition programs in Bootle, Liverpool and Nelson, Lancashire came up against opposition from residents, as well as conservation groups, which questioned the need for demolition.

Greens compile dossier on mayor

Article Abstract:

The Green Party filed a legal bid against the Mayor for giving approval against forty illegal constructions affecting the London's canals and rivers. The issues related to protecting the waterways from unsuitable housing development are also discussed.
