IMS (IMS Health) is ordered to license system of tracking sales

IMS Health Inc. has been ordered by the European Commission (EU) to license a controversial system for tracking drug sales in Germany to rivals. The decision indicates the first time since 1995 that the EU has made use of so-called interim measures to force a company to license intellectual property to rivals.

EU Commission fines 6 companies in Cartel case

Six companies have been fined Euro57.53 million by the European Commission (EU) for fixing prices on the cleaning agent, sodium gluconate. The companies are Jungbunzlauer AG, Roquette Freres S.A., Archer Daniels Midland Inc., Akzo Nobel N.V., Avebe B.A., and Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co.
