Milk's not just for calcium

Article Abstract:

Dairy Farmers of Montreal, Quebec, has tested several printed advertisements that will portray milk as the complete source for building healthy bones. The advertisements appeared in Canadian dailies from late September to early October, 1999. The group has teamed up with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario in Toronto and with advertising agencies Watt Burt Advertising and Allard and Associates to develop a plan that will sustain the public relations efforts of the two milk producers groups.

Quebec's specialty TV race

Article Abstract:

Seventeen applicants are awaiting who would be the winners in Canada's next round of French-language specialty TV licenses. The proposed channels will cover everything from business, travel, history and family entertainment. One of the applicants is Montreal, Quebec-based cable TV network TVA, which plans to offer services that conventional TV is not providing. Another is Radio-Canada which has a strong public mandate and will enhance programming at its regular network.

Quebec milk campaigns foster community involvement

Article Abstract:

The Quebec Milk Producers' Board has entered into a year-long agreement with Le canal nouvelles in Dec 1999. The deal is aimed at giving information and entertaining two million network viewers for a modest cost. The results are highly satisfactory for the Quebec Milk Producers since milk sales went up by 0.8%. The deal also put the Quebec Milk Producers in a 10-member club with McDonald's McCain Foods, Molson and National Bank.
