UK hedge fund management firm Peloton Partners L.L.P., founded by former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. partners Geoffrey Grant and Ron Beller in 2005, has had to shut down one fund and close the other to redemptions by investors due to significant losses resulting from the mortgage investment crisis.

Subprime troubles spread to Commerzbank, IKB: German banks warn results will be hurt by exposure to loans

Article Abstract:

Germany's Commerzbank AG and IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG have announced that subprime loan exposure will hurt their results. A state-owned bank will help shoulder IKB's losses. Entities as far away as the UK and Australia have also been affected by investments affected by risky US home loans.
