New Nokia CEO plans to make U.S. house calls

Article Abstract:

Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Olli-Pekka Kallavuo, Nokia Corp. of Finland is planning to commute to the United States for one week of every month to oversee United States operations. The United States cell phone market has been troubled and the company is hoping for a turnaround. Mr. Kallavuo succeeded Jorma Ollila in June 2006.

Mr. Kallasvuo is an operations manager and is in the tough position of convincing shareholders that he can improve shareprice. Nokia Corp. is the world's largest cell phone manufacturer.

Ernst & Young CEO leaves after a year
