While cell phones made in China are selling faster than foreign made phones, many foreign cell phone makers such as Motorola and Nokia are also benefiting, as few Chinese companies make the electronics used in cell phones. They must buy these electronic parts from foreign companies.

Cellphone sales show increase in consumer activity in China

Article Abstract:

Cellular telephone sales in China were higher during one week in the June 2003 period than they were during a similar period before the SARS disease outbreak. The rise in cell phone sales reflects an increase in consumer activity in the country.

For Dell, success in China tells tale of maturing market
