Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages in Germany

Article Abstract:

The German market demand for alcoholic drinks and tea and coffee has fallen during 1995 by 1%, and is not expected to show much long-term growth in the foreseeable future. Fruit juice consumption is on the increase, particularly during the hot summer weather. More wine and sparkling wines are being drunk in eastern Germany, and there is a tendency for high alcoholic-content drinks to be reduced in concentration, in a similar manner to that of the western Germany market.
