Olma begins to use PET bottles

Article Abstract:

Olma (Olomouc, Czech Republic), milk products company, is beginning to pack milk into transparent plastic PET bottles. The company invested about CEK 100 mil in the new bottling line, which was installed in co-operation with Europe's leading packaging manufacturer Elopak (Norway). In the first year the company estimates to fill 20 mil pcs of bottles in three sizes. Most of the production will be sold on the domestic market and a part in Slovakia. Apart from milk, Olma plans to use PET bottles for milk and yoghurt drinks and for bio-milk. Since 1999 milk has been packed into PET bottles in France, Italy, the UK and Germany.

Leo Burnett is the strongest entity in the field of advertising

Article Abstract:

Leo Burnett (Prague, Czech Republic), advertising agency, saw a gross profit of CEK 312.864 mil in 2000, 21.6% more compared to 1999. According to Top 15 chart of the Association of Advertising Agencies, the firm is in the first position. The second position is held by Young & Rubicam (Czech Republic), which saw a gross profit of CEK 253.754 mil in 2000, 22.4% more compared to 1999. The third position was occupied by Mark/BBDO (Czech Republic), which saw a gross profit of CEK 245 mil in 2000, 4.3% more compared to 1999.

Plaza and Mera want to invest in Pardubice together

Article Abstract:

Plaza (Israel), investment company, would like to participate in the construction of a leisure and shopping complex in the centre of Pardubice, the Czech Republic. Plaza together with Mera Pardubice (Czech Republic) would like to invest CEK 0.78-1.2 bil in the project. The authorities of Pardubice have not decided the realization of the project yet.
