Article Abstract:

The amount of capital investment has increased in Finland considerably in the past few years. In 1997, the capital investments amounted to a total of Fmk 819mn (US$ 149mn), up 180% from 1996. According to Finnish capital investment company Capman, entrepreneurs now understand the value a professional can bring into a company's board. The attitudes of entrepreneurs have changed considerably. However, according to the Finnish Entrepreneurs, the return demands of the investors are often too high. The capital investors expect to receive approx. 5% more return on their investment than they would receive from the stock markets.

Finnish Ingman's Kingis is the most sold ice cream stick of summer 1998 in Finland. The second is Swedish GB Glace's Magnum white chocolate ice cream and the third Magnum Ego. Premium ice creams have improved their market shares in Finland. People may have become bored with traditional ice cream sticks and cones. Finns are also prepared to spend more money on ice cream than before.
