P&G puts two new products on marketng fast track

Article Abstract:

Leo Burnett has created the ad campaign that will launch Dryel globally, the new product that Procter & Gamble makes for those 'dry-clean-only' clothes. The firm even has a partnership with Liz Claiborne in conjunction with the product. Also being launched is Swiffer, the sweeper and disposible cloths that MacManus Group's DMB&B created an ad campaign for. Both new products are taking what is considered the fast track to market for P&G.

P&G agrees to pay $49 million to settle shareholders' suit

Procter and Gamble Co. has reached a deal to pay a settlement in a class-action lawsuit that was filed against it by shareholders. The company will pay $49 million (57.5 million euros) in settlements for the suit, which was filed after Procter and Gamble posted lower-than-expected quarterly earnings. The shareholders claim they were misled.

Waste Management to pay $457 million in class-action suit; pact ends uncertain period for giant U.S. waste hauler

Article Abstract:

One month after 10 people settled charges of illegal insider trading during merger negotiations between Waste Management and USA Waste Services, Waste Management has agreed to pay $457 million to settle a class action suit. The financial fraud suit has been in litigation for two years in the Southern District of Texas.
