Parmalat's overseer plans to sue Deutsche Bank of bond issues

Article Abstract:

Government-appointed administrator, Enrico Bondi, is launching a suit against Deutsche Bank AG over bonds that bank issued to Parmalat S.p.A. one year before the ailing dairy products giant filed for bankcruptcy. Bondi is seeking to recoup funds for Parmalat in this and similar suits he has filed against UBS AG and Citigroup Inc.

Ailing Parmalat unveils proposal for repaying banks, bondholders

Article Abstract:

Investors in bankrupt Parmalat S.p.A. will receive shares in a new company being formed by the government administrator overseeing Parmalat's restructuring. The shares will represent only a fraction of creditors' original investments. The plan awaits approval by Italy's Industry Minister.
