Qualcomm to buy chip business

QUALCOMM Inc. of the United States is to acquire Airgo Networks Inc. and some of the units of R.F. Micro Devices Inc., both of the United States. The acquisitions will make new inroads into the Bluetooth chip market and consolidate its position against rivals including Intel Corp.
