Article Abstract:

Bob Malone is the CEO of Alyeska Pipeline Service Co., a consortium owned by all the big oil firms that work Alaska's North Slope fields, run the pipeline and the loading terminal at Valdez. After three years of putting workers at ease about voicing their fears and complaints, the complaints continue. Even he has his critics who say his changes are too slow in coming, so much needs to be done.

Genentech profit surges on cancer-drugs sales

Genentech Inc. of the United States posted a soaring 48 percent increase in first quarter net income to $421 million from $284 million last year. Revenue is up 36 percent to $1.99 billion. Revenue growth has increaed in all sales by the pharmaceuticals giant.
