Power hungry: a desire for muscles is changing the shape of Asian women

Article Abstract:

Contestants in the 12th Asian Women's Bodybuilding Championships, held in Hong Kong in early July, pursued a regimen of strenuous exercise and unusual diet in quest of the 'ripped to shreds' look. Competitors everywhere have begun to pay more attention to Asia as its exotic foods prove useful in building muscle and controlling fat. Bodybuilders putting on bulk eat vast amounts, then cut out all carbohydrates to burn fat, before focusing on water retention and finally eating carbohydrates to flesh out muscles.
