Hill and Knowlton Canada Ltd has added a life sciences division dedicated to providing biotechnology companies with marketing consulting services. The division, which will be based in Vancouver, British Columbia, will be headed by Theresa McCurry, former executive director of the British Columbia Biotechnology Alliance. She will be responsible for establishing the practive in Hill and Kowlton's offices in Toronto, Ontario, and Montreal, Quebec.

Causing a scene in Montreal

Article Abstract:

Metromedia Plus has developed the train-wrap concept in outdoor advertising and currently handles the advertising sales for the Societe de Transport de la Communaute Urbaine de Montreal. Using this concept, Metromedia wraps aroudn entire tains, ticket boots and turnstiles with colorful vinyl ads. Among the Metromedia's clients were Levi Strauss, Pepsi-Cola, Clearnet and the milk marketers at the Federation des Producteurs de Lait du Quebec.

D-coding the Nexus Generation

Article Abstract:

d-Code founder Robert Barnard established the company in Jan 1995 to help marketers connect to the members of the Nexus Generation aged 18 to 35. Among its clients are United Way, Nortel, Royal Bank and the Canadian government since one-third of Canada's population consists of the Nexus generation. The firm has over 150 consultants who brainstorm on a per project basis usually through the use of the Internet.
