Privatising distressed eastern German companies

Article Abstract:

Eastern German business transactions require competent financial advise, which is usually only available in the West. One of the firms helping East German firms to privatise is West Merchant Bank, which has an office in Berlin. The sale of East German integrated processor and semi-fabricator firm Mansfelder Kupfer und Messing was arranged by West Merchant in 1995, achieving an investment of 103 million pounds sterling. East German investments should be seen in both financial and economic terms, which benefit investor and the local economy.
