Probability distributions of costs, revenue and profit over a warranty cycle

Article Abstract:

An approach was undertaken to identify the probability distributions of cost, revenue, profit and rebate of a manufacturer during a warranty cycle. The approach initialy involves the identification of joint distribution of the numbers of free and pro-rata replacements during a cycle. Identification of joint distribution is then followed by the creation and computation of interest distribution through conditioning of replacements' numbers.
