Processed foods, confectionery and bakery products in Italy

Article Abstract:

Early figures suggest that Italian consumption of processed foods, confectionery and bakery products remained relatively stable in 1995, with growth in the frozen foods and dairy products sectors, but a fall in fish consumption and production. It is expected that future growth in all sectors will be limited to the inclusion of value-added products rather than through increased volume.
