Mark Fields, the president of Mazda Motor Corp. , intends to cut Japanese manfuacturing capacity and make 100,000 units annually at a European Ford Motor Corp. plant. Fields faces pressure in light of a successful turnaround by Nissan Motor Co. under the leadership of president Carlos Ghosn.
