Quitting the bridesmaid club

Article Abstract:

David Chipperfield admits that his architectural business has not been as successful in the United Kingdom as he had hoped, although he feels that the small projects taken on all over the world between 1985 and 1995 have given his office a versatile and spontaneous approach. Chipperfield adopts a Modern Movement architectural style, and is seen as a minimalist in the industry. He has projects at the Henley rowing centre and Richmond church and is expected to continue building his success in Britain in the future.
