Radicals in Iraq begin exporting violence, Mideast neighbors say

Article Abstract:

Radical Islamists from al-Qaeda have established headquarters in Iraq and are bleeding violence into the neighbouring Middle East countries, bringing turmoil to multiple fronts and stretching American troops. With the War on Terrorism, President George W. Bush has expressed concern should the United States military be withdrawn from Iraq.

President George W. Bush and the Republican Party of the United States face fall midterm elections with the number one concern for Americans being the involvement of the United States in Iraq. President Bush's approval rating is at 37 percent, with disapproval strongest for how he has handled the Iraq conflict.

Bush declaires Iraq a war of democracy; president says U.S. leads revolution to free Mideast from rule of 'despotism'

US President George W. Bush declared in a speech to the National Endowment for Democracy that the Iraq War is part of a "global democratic revolution" championed by America, and compared it to the collapse of Soviet-led Europe under former president Ronald Reagan.
