Reducing inpatriate managers' 'liability of foreignness' by addressing stigmatization and stereotype threats

Article Abstract:

A method of ensuring that social issues related to inpatriate managers are resolved in home-country organization that is trying to globalize its operations is suggested. The resentment towards inpatriate managers affects the performance of the organization as well as these managers.

Export-import relationships in a global organization: a relational contracting analysis of subsidiary behavior

Article Abstract:

The article describes the design of an international management staffing mechanism that fosters expansion and integration of import-export business relationships in the global economy, while mitigating subsidiary contracting issues. A theoretical model is delineated and discussed.
