Reebok's probe faults Indonesian plants

Article Abstract:

Reebok International Ltd will release a 41-page report from a 14 month study of working conditions at Indonesian factories. Reebok hired Insan Hitawasana Sejahtera for the study, which found wages at Indonesian subcontractors' factories were standard but health and training issues are prevalent. Gender discrimination, ergonomics, and lack of protective clothing are discussed in the report.

G.I. Joe is there as toyland issues a call to arms; now it's okay to play with guns and soldiers

Article Abstract:

Hasbro Inc.'s G.I. Joe is making a comeback, espeically since the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Strombecker Corp. says toy cap gun sales are up 20% since the same date. Military aircraft models are selling well, according to Revell-Monogram Inc. Some parents now allow patriotism and militarism to be part of their children's lives; however, many parents still support anti-violence.

Hasbro to cut work force by 19% in restructuring

Article Abstract:

Hasbro Inc. announced that it is reducing its labor force by 2,200 positions. This comes out to 19% of the company's labor force. The job cuts are part of Hasbro's restructuring program.
