Revenue and passenger growth for South Africa

Article Abstract:

Airport Company South Africa (ACSA) has seen revenues increase 162% to $53 million in fiscal year 1999 from fiscal year 1995. Annual departing passenger throughput, meanwhile, rose 48% to 9.5 million from 6.4 million. The company operates nine airports, six of which are profitable and only three are posting a pre-tax loss. The company has no long-term debt, making it likely for the company to tap international capital markets using its balance sheet as security.
