Lukoil plans to acquire Getty Petroleum Marketing

BP Amoco seeks to raise Sidanko stake

Article Abstract:

BP Amoco said that it may double or triple its stake in Russia-based AO Sidanko, third-largest of Russia's oil companies. The bold move is regarded as an effort of BP Amoco to rescue its $571 million investment. BP Amoco refused to say how much it paid for the larger stake. Sidanko went into bankruptcy proceedings in January 1999.

Russia sells 9% stake in Lukoil to a Cyprus-registered firm

Article Abstract:

A 9% share of OAO Lukoil has been sold by the government of Russia to Reforma Investment Ltd. The share was sold for an offer of $5,000 higher than the $200 million beginning price.
