Saddle up

Article Abstract:

'Cycling in Switzerland' was formally launched by Swiss officials on May 30, 1998. The program established nine national cycle routes across the country dotted with some 15,000 signposts and 250 information boards. The routes would create an interlinked network of 3,330 km with access to all the regions in the country. The program was the result of joint efforts of Switzerland Tourism, Swiss Tourism Assn, Swiss Olympic Assn, Swiss Federal Railways, the nation's 26 cantons and cycling organizations.
