Siemens profit development still unsatisfactory, chief says

Article Abstract:

Siemens AG chairman Heinrich von Pierer announced that profit development remained unsatisfactory despite hikes in production in numerous operations. The executive launched a new program to enhance company results through focusing on sharing best practice principles among separate operations. Von Pierer maintained that significant improvements in productivity enabled the company to prevent dramatic price drop in majority of its operation. However, Siemens still failed to improve its profits at the necessary scale.

Ice Age Ice GmbH is currently looking for $7 million in financing to lease more refrigerated trucks and create more regional distribution centers.

Solaria panels win backing of Germany's Q-Cells: California start-up to get $25 million more, billions in components

Article Abstract:

Germany's Q-Cells AG will up its stake in California solar panel company Solaria Corp. from 12.6% to 33% with additional funding totaling $25 mil. Q-Cells will also supply solar cells for generating 1.35 gigawatts of power during the next decade; the contract's value is estimated at approximately $3.46 bil.
