Simple and absolute special majorities generated by OWA operators

Article Abstract:

Simple and absolute special majorities are commonplace decision procedures. However, the intensity of some individual preferences for some alternatives over the others cannot be expressed through these procedures. In order to aggregate the individual preferences and generalize simple and absolute majorities the usage of ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators is recommended.

The transformation process of original data into ratio scale is embroiled with many difficulties such as over-interpretation of the available data. In order to avoid these difficulties a statistical model for ratio scale and ordinal measurements is developed, where only the ranks of the items are observed and analyzed by regression model.
