Article Abstract:

A focus group carried out by Graphisoft, producer of CAD on various softwares used by the AEC industry is described. The studies revealed that the major problem for organisations dealing with different architects who used different types of CAD software was that some of the CAD-mangement group had invested considerable effort in developing bespoke software to handle different CAD file formats.
