The quiet idealist: George Wren has set up a new practice at the same time as becoming president of the RIAS

Article Abstract:

George Wren, new president of the RIAS, has also recently set up a new practice with Roan Rutherford. Wren joined Irvine Development Corporation in 1972 and was head of architecture by the end of the 1970s. He formed a close working relationship with Rutherford in the mid 1970s, and they created several award-winning people focused buildings. They shared the best architect award at the Scottish Building Awards in 1996.
