Development of trading relationships in the growing Mercosur trading arrangement in South America, has encouraged speedier establishment of an interconnected transportation system in South America. Expansion of river routes, airport facilities and roadways are all under consideration.

An analysis of voting trends in Kansas shows that more people support Democratic nominees for Congress than Republican. The two Republican senators are leaving office and Republican candidates seem lackluster. Influences on the upcoming elections are examined.
