The slow death of Boeing man

Article Abstract:

White-collar employees at Boeing have been invoved in a strike for over six weeks, and the strike illustrates a widening gap affecting skilled workers in the US. Engineers' status has been affected by Boeing's attempts to compete in the aerospace market, and research funds have been reduced. Engineers are also poorly paid in relation to many high-tech workers, and house prices in the Seattle region may be too high for young Boeing engineers. These white-collar workers are feeling pressures previously experienced by blue-collar workers.
