Ed Donald of Corus Living Solutions, set up in 2004 to design, manufacture and deliver accommodation modules talks of a step change coming in house construction. One of the steps include building hybrid construction for mixed-use developments, which will have wide span building structures at lower level with transfer structure and some mix of panel and modular residential construction above.

Restoration of a complete terrace consisting of Victorian-era stalls in Forest Gate is stated to be Phase 1 of a determined venture to redevelop the high street of Wood grange Road Conservation Area in east London. The next two phases will cover different sites based on an all-inclusive scheme involving upgrading of streets, shops, and other environmental improvements.
