Toyota to offer 14 models to boost European profile

Toyota Motor Corp. is planning to offer several new automobile models in Europe during the next 18-month period. The move is an attempt by Toyota to expand its market share in the European region. The company is expecting to introduce up to 14 new car models in Europe by Spring 2001. Some of the new models will be specifically designed for the European marketplace.

Job cuts at Opel expected to total fewer than 3,000
