Communicative staging of the wilderness servicescape

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the servicescape provided by wilderness tours shows that the primary instrument for producing such an environment is communicative staging. Cultural themes then frame the servicescape and evaluations show that these themes provide insights on the fundamentals that may be used to create new servicescapes, their interpretation and their management. Servicescapes allow for the creation of new services with an underlying social context.
