AH-1Z is Turkish delight?

Article Abstract:

The Turkish government's plan to purchase several Bell AH-1Z King Cobra for its attack helicopter requirement face the possibility of being blocked by the US Congress because of human rights issues. If the King Cobra sale is disapproved by Congress, Turkey will be left with two other options. These are the Agusta A129 International and the Kamov Ka-50-2. Turkey is expected to announce the contract winner by the end of Jun 2000.
