UK: GE Life introduces 8% fixed income plan

Article Abstract:

GE Life has introduced an 8%/year gross fixed income plan, balancing income and growth, aimed at conservative investors aged 50-plus. Investors can take income annually or monthly. The product is based on the performance of the Dow Jones EuroStoxx 50 TM Index. It is also possible to invest the capital for growth with a 50% yield paid after expiry, at 62 months. The index should not decline by over 30% during the period in order for the initial capital to be returned in full.

UK: Baronworth launches Combination Investment

Article Abstract:

The new Combination Investment Series 4 from Baronworth Investment Services will be split between a three-year guaranteed income bond from Pinnacle Insurance and a with profits income bond from Legal & General. Investors will receive 5.75%/y from the guaranteed income bond, while the with profits income bond will pay a net return of 5.75%/y in the period to December 2002. Minimum investment is GBu 10,000.
