Ireland ready for Eurovision

Article Abstract:

The merger and acquisition (M&A) market in Ireland continues to be buoyant, driven by high economic growth and increasing affluence. While the market is relatively small, domestic M&A is growing, in terms of both volume and diversity. The largest transaction in 1997 was the 343 million pounds sterling merger between Waterford Food and Avonmore, set to be the first in a series of consolidations in Ireland's agribusiness market. An overview of the Irish M&A market is presented.
