U.S., EU plan small steps on cutting trade barriers

Article Abstract:

European Union and US regulators are engaged in talks focused on structuring a new trade agreement. The scope of the agreement is modest, due to political sensitivities that hinder across-the-board US-European cooperation, such as agriculture, the environment, and product safety. However, the move indicates determination to improve what is the world's richest trade relationship, valued at $675 bil last year.
