VSNL REVAMPS NET ACCESS SYSTEM

Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL), the Internet service provider, has reconstituted its Net access system with the assistance of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MNTL). It has now developed a new system that will provide direct Internet connectivity from all the major exchanges in Mumbai to the VSNL Internet hubs avoiding clogging in the Net access system. (gs)

VSNL STARTS NEW INTERNET ISDN DIAL-UP

Article Abstract:

Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) has started a dial-up service for internet by integrated services digital network (ISDN) mode in Bangalore. The new service will offer 64 kbps bandwidth line which will be extended to 128 kbps later. VSNL has fixed the tariff for 64 kbps at Rs5,500 for 100 hours, Rs12,500 for 250 hours and Rs19,000 for 500 hours. ISDN facilitates faster access to net. (rk)

The Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) has provided a single access number for its Internet subscribers in New Delhi. Dialling of this single number will connect the subscriber directly to the Internet hubs of the Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd.
