VW gives job pledges to German workers

Volkswagen AG will guarantee jobs until 2011 for over 100,000 workers in exchange for a freeze on wages until 2007 and other concessions in labor negotiations with labor union IG Metall in Germany.

Porsche's 'solution' for VW surprises investors
Article Abstract:
Porsche AG is to increase it's stake to 20 percent in Volkswagen AG from less than five percent. The investment is "friendly" and is valued at approximately 3 billion Euros or $3.6 billion.
