Vanilla Factory

Article Abstract:

The Vanilla Factory, which sits at the heart of the Ropewalks, one of Liverpool's historic conservation areas, is a Pounds Sterling 1.7 million mixed-use scheme designed by ShedKM Architects for developer Urban Splash. The whole assemblage achieves a clean simplicity for the new building in a historic milieu, its vitality derived from the layering of its individual elements.

The Whitbybird team has provided elegant cycle and pedestrian crossings, in England and Italy, which encourages users to stop and take in the views. The Chelsea Bridge Wharf Link Bridge, Irwing Footbridge, Spinningsfields, Manchester and Footbridge over the River Cam, Cambridge are some of the bridges designed by Whitbybird architects.

Fast-track new-build gets tunnel vision

Architect Stephenson Bell has used tunnel-form construction to fast-track the new bedroom block by converting and extending Manchester's Free Trade Hall in making a hotel. The typical construction cycle for the hotel, bedroom layout, room acoustic requirements are discussed.
