Vonage to sell Wi-Fi in EarthLink deal

Article Abstract:

Vonage Holdings Corp. of the United States has an agreement with EarthLink Inc. also of the United States to resell Wi-Fi internet service in major United States cities. The telecommunications operator is offering the new service to become more viable in an increasingly competitive market. Vonage Holdings Corp. projects operating profit for the first quarter of 2008.

Sony-Ericsson snags content for its online-music service

Article Abstract:

Japanese and Swedish mobile phone venture Sony Ericsson announced content deals with 10 record labels, including EMI Group PLC, Warner Music Group Corp., and Sony BMG. The launch of Sony Ericsson's online music service is slated for May, and will be marketed in 30 countries by the end of 2008.

Motorola Inc. puts Macedonia on web

Article Abstract:

Affordable high-speed Internet access has connected 95 percent of Macedonia. The service was provided by Motorola Inc. of the United States in a joint venture with On.Net of Macedonia. The project was financed in part by the United States Agency for International Development.
