WIne: part 2

Article Abstract:

The UK wine market is extremely fragmented, with the established brands increasingly being threatened by several new entrants. International wine producers such as Orlando Wyndham and E&J Gallo Winery are working hard to develop identifiable brands which ar set to threaten the dominant supermarket private labels. The volume wine market was led by Matthew Clark Wholesale in 1998 with a retail share of 4.0%, followed by E&J Gallo Winery with 3.4% and BRL Hardy with 3.0%. Company profiles of the leading wine producers are included.
