William Gaddis

Article Abstract:

William Gaddis was an author whose first novel, 'Recognitions', did not initially receive a favorable response from critics, though Gaddis has taken five years to write it. The novel was reassessed two decades afterwards when Gaddis published his second work, 'J.R.'. Gaddis gained practical experience of the world during the time that literature did not provide him with an income. He took on a number of casual jobs and these included work in journalism.
